I Can’t Wait For 1024.

By Mike - January 16/2006

The Web has certain design constraints.  Screen resolution is one such constraint.

I love sites designed to 1024 pixels widths.  They are like newspapers  - easy to read.  Here is a beauty.  The post shows a great Google mobile device design.  Mobile has its own constraints.

Can’t wait for 1024.

Okay… next stop pricing.

“Hey Mike,

One thing to consider is HDTV resolutions and relative font sizes. With new OS such as Windows MCE and Window’s upcoming OS, Websites will need to be designed to accommodate Widescreen and Letter Box TV screens. I.e.: 480/720/1080/i/p resolutions. Television screens and not your monitor may become the new standard that will be emerging in the next few years. I already have MCE on my downstairs TV and it's running just great. “
